Dan and Christa out in the pasture with their dog Finn and one brown horse and two white horses

Our Story

HHF was settled in the 1830s by the Klock family who received the land as payment for service in the Revolutionary War. The Klocks built the house and what is now the horse barn. The property was sold to the McClory family who operated it as a dairy farm until purchased by Dan and Christa in 1996.

Since that time have restored the house, leaving much of the post and beam structure exposed to show the beauty of hand-hewn elm beams and stone foundation as well as the craftsmanship of the original builders.

Through the restoration at the house and grounds we have uncovered a lot of history and have come to truly love our home. We wish to share the uniqueness and history of our home with you and hope you come to love it as we do.

Dan and Christa, lifelong local residents, purchased our farm in 1996, and it has been an evolving project since. Always enjoying entertaining friends and family, opening our home to travelers seemed like a logical step.

Loving to travel, we have had the opportunity to visit and stay in amazing places. And we hope that we can provide that experience for you in return. When we travel, we love to meet and spend time with ‘the locals’ to learn about the area, the history and the way of life.

Our goal is to share our home and beautiful property, not only with guests of the bed and breakfast but also for your important life moments of weddings and celebrations as an event destination. Come enjoy a friendly, country farm environment to rest, relax and reconnect with the natural beauty of our area.

Dan and Christa would like to Thank friends and family who have supported us and all our crazy ideas. A very special thank you to our daughter Jennifer, for all the advice and editing assistance.

Celebrating 34 years together, Dan and Christa, along with Finn the labrador and D-Con the cat, would love to welcome you into their home during your visit to rural western New York.
